Kurnool was earlier called Kandenavolu, which meant the town of grease. Legend has it that in the 12th century, the Odderas were carting stones for the construction of the Navabrahmeswara temple at Alampur and before they could cross the Tungabhadra the local villagers gave the men grease to apply on their cart wheels. Kandenavolu, in course of time, came to be known as Kurnool. At present Kurnool District comprise fourteen Assembly constitutions, two Parliament constitutions, three Revenue Divisions, 54 Revenue Mandals, 53 Mandal Parishads, one Municipal Corporation, three Municipalities, 899 Gram Panchayats, 920 Revenue Villages, and 615 Hamlet Villages.
Kurnool is the only city in India that is located in between two rivers: Tungabhadra and Hundri. The District of Kurnool is the Gateway of Rayalaseema, bordered with Mahaboobnagar District in the North, Ananthapur District and Kadapa District in the South, Bellary District of Karnataka in the West, and Prakasam District in the East. Kurnool City is located at a Distance of 200 km from Hyderabad.

The Rayalaseema University offers M.Sc program in twelve specializations, MA / M.Com program in three specializations, MBA in two specializations and M.Ed / MCA at the PG level to the students.
Rayalaseema University M.Sc., M.A and M.Com Admission
students seeking admission to these courses must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline. Selection to the program is based on the marks secured in qualifying exam and RUPGCET test.
Rayalaseema University MBA, MCA and M.Ed Admission
students applying to these courses must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute. Selection to the program is on the basis of marks obtained by the student in RUPGCET exam.

The application must be submitted online only at the website http://www.rudoa.in / https://ruk.ac.in by registering the name and other details. Applicants must apply only online through the website http://www.rudoa.in by paying a Registration Fee of Rs.325/- through an online generated challan along with Online Application Form.

Filling of online application form is allowed only after authorisation of your payment; now get ready with scanned passport size photo and scanned signature separately in JPEG/JPG format only with less than 100 kb in size; keep the paid challan copy ready and login at www.rudoa.in with your application number (as given in the challan) & Date of Birth.
After submission of online application, if any corrections are to be incorporated, the applicant has to login and make necessary corrections; if there is any problem during updating the information contact the help line of RUPGCET-2019.
Take two copies of the printout of your application. Paste a recent passport size photo (identical to the photo that used for scanning) in the space provided in the printout and to be attested by a Gazetted officer and post the filled in application to “The Convener, RUPGCET-2019, Rayalaseema University, Kurnool-518007”
